(5)·By Wareesha M·Microbiology· Jun 2026 Student life here is lively and welcoming, with plenty going on both on campus and in the surrounding area. There are lots of societies and events, so it’s easy to meet people and build a good social circle, especially in the first few weeks. The course itself is well structured and engaging, with lecturers who are knowledgeable and generally supportive. There’s a good balance between independent study and contact time, although feedback on assignments could sometimes be more detailed or quicker. The commute is manageable, particularly if you live nearby or have good transport links, but at peak times it can be busy and occasionally unreliable. Accommodation is a mixed experience: halls are convenient and social, but they can be quite expensive for what you get, and maintenance response times could be improved. Overall, the social scene is a real highlight, with a good mix of nights out, relaxed cafés, and student-led events. The sense of community and opportunity to get involved are great, while affordability and consistency in support services could be improved. Despite a few downsides, it’s a positive and rewarding student experience.
