An amazing business school in the UK

(5)·By Rakesh D·Business· Jun 2025
Aston University isn’t just a place to study — it’s a community where ambition meets support. Nestled in the heart of Birmingham, Aston has built a reputation for turning potential into real-world success. It feels personal here; professors know your name, and there’s a real focus on making sure you’re ready for whatever comes next, whether it’s your first big job, a startup dream, or further research. It’s a university that believes education should be practical, inclusive, and deeply connected to the world beyond the classroom — and you can feel that energy as soon as you step on campus.

Life at Aston University as an International Student

(5)·By BIPIN M·Business· Jun 2025
My academic journey at Aston University started seven months ago in September. Now it's April and next month will be my final month, then I will complete my first year here at Aston University. I still can't believe I am moving on to my second year so fast; it must be because of the friendly, welcoming environment that Aston University has created. As many of the students are international, I got a chance to make a lot of new friends from different nationalities. I got to learn about their countries, their languages, and most importantly, their food. My friends and I would go out every weekend and try foods from different countries, which will be my favorite moment here. In terms of location, Birmingham is a very vibrant city with cultural diversity. It didn't feel like I was thousands of miles away from home. In terms of education, Aston University is top-notch. I did a lot of research before choosing this university for my higher studies, and now I am completing my first year here and feel like I made the right choice. The studies aren't like at most universities where teachers are just teaching and students are just there to listen; here at Aston University they are making us industry ready, which is why it is ranked 20th for graduate prospects. In terms of accommodations, I would highly recommend Aston Village. The university is surrounded by student accommodation which makes it really easy to go to university—you don't have to wake up early in the morning; you can wake up 30 minutes before the lecture, take a shower, have your breakfast, get everything ready, and still make it on time for your lecture. I don't recommend doing that, but it's a proven method. And it's cheap as well. Aston University is one of the best universities in the UK where student life is very vibrant and the studies are so good that they will make you industry ready by the end of your degree.

Aston University: Strong Foundation, Room for Improvement.

(5)·By Avneet K·Nursing· Jun 2025
Aston University offers a great balance of academic support, modern facilities, and a vibrant student community. The campus is compact and city-based, making everything easily accessible. Lecturers are knowledgeable and approachable, and there’s a strong emphasis on employability and real-world experience—especially through placements. The diverse student population creates a welcoming environment, and there’s always something going on, from social events to career fairs. Overall, it’s a great place to study and grow, both personally and professionally.

While Aston University offers excellent academic support and a supportive learning environment with helpful lecturers, some areas like administrative processes and timetabling could be improved. There have been occasional delays with timetables, causing confusion at the start of term. Additionally, during peak times, more study spaces would be beneficial, as the existing ones can fill up quickly, making it harder to find a quiet spot. Improving these aspects could enhance the overall student experience.

Review this title for spelling and grammar, but do not change its tone of voice, style, or the way it's written too much

The student union makes a great place to hang out and meet new people, along with the social study spaces and range of societies to join. The commute is very easy as the university is located right next to the city centre, which also makes for a vibrant social life. The staff at the university are very friendly and helpful. I am enjoying student life and the way the university teaches and structures the course. I enjoy participating in seminars.

I had the best 4 years of my life at university! I loved the experience of living out away from home and I made friends for life whilst I was there!
I also loved how flexible the learning was and the ability to do work in my own time when I felt I was best productive!

Overall Positive Experience

(5)·By Sophia A·Law· Jun 2023
I have so far enjoyed my experience at Aston University studying the Law LLB course as it has been an interactive course which engages the students in every workshop and seminar. I have really enjoyed learning how to navigate the campus at Aston and have enjoyed the wonderful facilities provided in the Student Union. I also like the canteen and the fact that Aston is located right opposite Birmingham City Centre. If I could improve one thing it would be that the lifts are larger as they cannot fit many people and it gets very busy around the afternoon.
