We emphasise the area of exercise for health, preparing our students to work within the health system.<br/><br/>Students are taught by specialist staff in the Centre for Exercise Activity and Rehabilitation, which is one of the seven centres of Institute for Lifecourse Development.<br/><br/>With support from internationally recognised visiting professionals youll gain subject-specific knowledge, enhanced practical and professional skills, and a critical awareness of advances at the forefront of strength and conditioning studies.<br/><br/>Were accredited by the most respected organisations in the field, the National Strength and Conditioning Association (NSCA) which is supported by the UKSCA, the professional body of Strength and Conditioning in the UK and the International University Strength and Conditioning (IUSCA). In particular, our masters is recognised as a high-quality programme for the NSCA Education Recognition Programme (ERP).<br/><br/>**What you should know about this course**<br/><br/><br/>- You will have the opportunity to apply for external professional accreditation; National Strength & Conditioning Association (NSCA) to Certified Strength & Conditioning Specialist<br/><br/><br/>- Essential preparation to apply for the United Kingdom Strength and Conditioning Accreditation and the International Society of Sport Nutrition Accreditation is provided<br/><br/><br/>- We also consider other essential areas for sports sciences professionals such as injury prevention, sports nutrition, exercise physiology for health and wellbeing<br/><br/><br/>- You will be able to join the Sports Science Research group, apply for an internship in professional sports centres or the NHS working as a physiologist in a health team.<br/>
