Our FdSc Digital and Technology Solutions degree has been aligned with the occupational standard for Software Developer and approved by the Institute for Apprenticeships and Technical Education (IfATE).<br/><br/>As a Digital and Technology Solutions graduate, you will have the option of progressing into careers such as a cyber security analyst, data or systems analyst or engineer, IT consultant or technician, network or software engineer or web developer.<br/><br/>Digital technologies are now a fundamental part of all sectors of commerce and industry. Underpinning this is the continual need to design and develop technological solutions to a broad range of ever-evolving problems. This encompasses a range of digital and communications-based solutions centred on the acquisition, storage, manipulation, retrieval and dissemination of data.<br/><br/>Every learner will have the opportunity to develop:<br/>• Web design and development skills in HTML, CSS and client-side scripting;<br/><br/><br/><br/>• Systems analysis skills;<br/><br/><br/><br/>• Database design and development skills within Microsoft Access and MYSQL/PHPMYDMIN;<br/><br/><br/><br/>• Use of virtualisation technologies;<br/><br/><br/><br/>• Network design and development skills – both local and business scale networks;<br/><br/><br/><br/>• Network security and basic cybersecurity skills in protecting a business-scale network;<br/><br/><br/><br/>• Server-side programming skills for e-commerce development.<br/><br/><br/><br/>The development and continued success of business is increasingly based on its ability to harness digital and technology solutions to develop and market new products and services, increase productivity and workflow, minimise costs, and protect itself from threats from various forms of cybercrime.<br/><br/>This course will equip you with the skills you need to design and develop technological solutions to a broad range of ever-evolving problems.
