A level

Grades BBC. All subjects are considered. Reduced offer: Grades CCC One subject from Mathematics, Further Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, Software Systems Development, Computing, Computer Science (not IT/ICT)

HNC (BTEC)

Overall Distinction (with distinctions in 75 Level 4 credits) for year 1 entry only. GCSE Maths Grade C/4 or an alternative Mathematics qualification acceptable to the University is also required.

HND (BTEC)

HND Year 1 Entry Pass HND in any subject area with overall Merit to include Distinction in 45 Level 5 credits (plus GCSE Maths grade C/4 or alternative Maths module in BTEC L3 qual). HND Year 2 entry HND overall Merit (with Distinction in 45 Level 5 credits) in a relevant subject area for entry to Year 2. GCSE Maths Grade C/4 or an alternative Mathematics qualification acceptable to the University is also required. Ulster Foundation Degree Pass with overall 50% and minimum 50% in all taught level 5 modules. Applicants will normally be considered for entry to an associated Honours degree (normally Year 2 entry). Overall profile of 63% (120 credit Access Course) (NI Access Course); to include a 20 credit Level 2 Mathematics module, passed at 40% or successful completion of NICATS Mathematics as part of the pre-2021 Access Diploma. Overall profile of 15 credits at distinction and 30 credits at merit (60 credit Access Course) (GB Access Course); to include GCSE English Language & Maths at grade C/4.

GCSE/National 4/National 5

For this course, you must satisfy the General Entrance Requirements for admission to a first degree course and hold a GCSE pass at Grade C/4 or above in English Language and Mathematics. Level 2 Certificate in Essential Skills - Communication will be accepted as equivalent to GCSE English. NB Level 2 Certificate in Essential Skills -Application of Number is NOT acceptable as an alternative to GCSE Grade C Mathematics for entry to this course.

International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme

112 UCAS tariff points to include a minimum of five subjects (four of which must be at higher level) to include English and Maths at H6 if studied at Higher level or O4 if studied at Ordinary Level.
