This Sandwich degree will enhance your knowledge of economic theory, whilst developing the transferable skills and industry experience that will prepare you for a great graduate career. Your work placement year in business provides you with crucial work experience, which is highly prized and much sought after by employers upon graduation.<br/><br/>Our Economics with International Finance and Banking course uses the threshold concepts of economics to critically analyse decisions involving the participants, institutions and instruments of finance and banking. You will compare the different interpretations of contemporary economic issues and events and the lessons that can be drawn. We will enrol you, as an economics student, with The Society of Professional Economists (SPE).<br/><br/>You will focus on applied Economics, training you to think like an economist from day one. You will learn about the important role of finance and banking in affecting investment and growth and develop the crucial tools and techniques of financial analysis, investment and portfolio management. Our BA (Hons) Economics with International Finance and Banking achieved a 91% student satisfaction ranking (National Student Survey, 2022).<br/><br/>As an Economics student, you’ll have access to our unique Business Lab facility. With double-screen workstations, the room gives you a simulated experience of working in the fast-moving world of shares and trading.
