You will also critically engage with the legal system itself and develop an understanding of the principles underpinning crime control; as well as the practice of law and the implementation of criminal justice in real world situations.<br/><br/>You will gain skills in analysis and evidence evaluation, project management and communication. <br/><br/>You will hear from practitioners who work in the criminal justice system and have opportunities to conduct field work in areas of law and criminal justice that most interest you, in order to root your classroom learning in practical experience.<br/><br/>**Future Skills**<br/>Embedded within every course curriculum and throughout the whole Kingston experience, Future Skills will play a role in shaping you to become a future-proof graduate, providing you with the skills most valued by employers such as problem-solving, digital competency, and adaptability.<br/><br/>As you progress through your degree, youll learn to navigate, explore and apply these graduate skills, learning to demonstrate and articulate to employers how future skills give you the edge.<br/><br/>At Kingston University, were not just keeping up with change, were creating it.<br/><br/>**Career opportunities**<br/>You will be well placed for careers in the legal profession, criminal justice system and advocacy.<br/><br/>You will be able to pursue law opportunities as a solicitor or barrister in the usual way in a non-criminal justice field, as you will qualify with a LLB.<br/><br/>There are new Solicitors Qualifying Examination (SQE) requirements that are emerging which an LLB Law graduate will need to satisfy to practice Law in any field. However, there will also be a wide range of career opportunities in criminal justice outside the route to become a lawyer.<br/><br/>Careers where a legal qualification is not required but law and criminal justice knowledge would be useful include: the police or detective degree entry pathway, Probation Service, Prison Service, the civil service fast stream, the Health and Safety Executive, research organisations, Liberty, Amnesty International and a variety of charity and campaigning groups.
