Registered Veterinary Nurses (RVN) perform a varied and integral role within the veterinary team.  Completing this award and meeting the required assessment criteria will allow graduates to apply to enter the register of veterinary nurses held by the Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons (RCVS), the regulatory body.

We would typically require you to have taken a BTEC Extended Diploma/C&G Advanced Technical Extended Diploma in a Science subject area relevant to the degree that you wish to study, although all applications will be considered on their individual merits. Please note that we do not accept the BTEC Level 3 Extended Diploma in Equine Management or the City & Guilds Level 3 Advanced Technical Extended Diploma in Equine Management for this course. Also for the City & Guilds Level 3 Advanced Technical Extended Diploma in Animal Management we require the Science Pathway option to be undertaken. This MUST include the following modules: Fundamentals of Science Chemistry for Biological Technicians Cell Biology and Genetics Biochemistry and microbiology Please contact Admissions for further advice. Please note these grades apply only to the new examined (reformed) version of the Level 3 Extended Diploma which should be 1080 Guided Learning Hours.
