This Bachelor of Science in Sport and Exercise Science provides a broad and in-depth study of human function in relation to sport, physical activity, and general wellbeing. This prepares you to develop innovative psychological and physiological interventions to promote sport performance, exercise, and health.<br/><br/>Like all of our sports science degrees, learning is very much hands-on, and research led. Internationally renowned researchers, active sports professionals and practitioners, the teaching team has a wealth of experience. Many of our academics are HCPC accredited psychologists working with elite athletes and teams.<br/><br/>Their expertise spans performance psychology, human physiology, talent development, athlete monitoring, skill learning, training effectiveness, training, and injury. They will share their experiences of working as sport and exercise scientists with Olympic medal-winning athletes and the World Cup winning England cricket Team.<br/><br/>‘Placement Year’ and International Experience Year’ options are available for this course. You will have the opportunity to fully consider these options when you have started your course at Bangor and can make an application for a transfer onto such a pathway at the appropriate time.
