This LLB (Hons) Law with Criminology degree offer opportunities to gain legal knowledge learning about fundamental areas of the law alongside law making, law enforcement, criminal behaviour and the consequences of law breaking.<br/><br/>You will examine how the criminal justice system works, what causes people to commit crime and the impact of their behaviour on others. Gain expertise in core legal subjects that satisfy the Bar Standards Boards requirements for barristers and provide essential knowledge for solicitors. Amongst an attractive array of modules, you can choose vocational subjects tested in the Solicitors’ Qualifying Examinations (SQE) providing you with a gateway to professional training to become a solicitor.<br/><br/>At Bangor University, we bring your studies to life with mock trials; internal moots and a University annual careers fair. Studying Law and Criminology gives you a greater appreciation of modern-day law, the reasons behind criminal behaviour, the causes and effects of crime and its impact on future prevention and punishment. It also provides a broader education, which can expand your career options on graduation too.<br/><br/>‘Placement Year’ and International Experience Year’ options are available for this course. You will have the opportunity to fully consider these options when you have started your course at Bangor and can make an application for a transfer onto such a pathway at the appropriate time.
